Technical Session. Real-Life Python Geoprocessing in the Cloud

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

AUTHORS: Jason Wise, Terracon

ABSTRACT: Is your computer a habitat for complicated geoprocessing scripts that nobody else can use? Do you need to run processes overnight, make the results available online, or let your coworkers run the tools themselves? Do you need a back-end database for your Web application? These are all good reasons to do your geoprocessing in the Cloud. Come and see real-world examples of complex, data-intensive geoprocessing on cloud servers with Python, ArcGIS for Server, ArcGIS for Desktop, and scheduled tasks. Learn how we publish services painlessly, reuse Python code on the server, process nightly datalogger uploads, and use a JavaScript application to interact with a geoprocessing service.
